Scoring that follows the laws of the game

The scorer taps what happened and SportsHeroes does the arithmetic. Strike rotates on odd runs and at the end of every over. Bowler figures count only what the bowler conceded, and partnerships and batting order update by themselves.

  • Runs off the bat, including boundaries.
  • Extras recorded separately: wide, no-ball, bye and leg-bye, plus byes and leg-byes off a no-ball.
  • Every mode of dismissal. Run outs and Mankad dismissals are not credited to the bowler, and a retired-hurt batter can be recorded too.
  • Penalty runs when the umpire awards them.
  • Undo the last ball: the score, strike and figures go back exactly as they were.

Any format

Overs per innings, balls per over and wickets per innings are set for each tournament and match. A 20-over league, a 6-over tennis-ball game or a short box-cricket format all score the same way, and a tied match can go to a super over.

Keeps working when the signal drops

Grounds rarely have reliable internet. SportsHeroes saves every ball on the phone first, so scoring never waits for the network. When the connection returns, the balls are sent in order and the server accepts each one only once, so a weak signal cannot create duplicate or missing deliveries.

More than one scorer

The free Starter plan supports one scorer. The Day Pass and the ticket-bundle plans support up to three scorers at once, which helps when matches run back to back on a tournament day.

Your score is the broadcast

Every ball you record updates the live overlays in OBS Studio or vMix within about a second. From the same screen you can put graphics on air, such as the toss, the current partnership or the runs needed, so one person can score and run the stream graphics.

No app to install

SportsHeroes runs in the browser on any phone, tablet or laptop. Open it, log in and start scoring.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need internet to score a match?

No. Scoring works offline and every ball is saved on your phone. It syncs automatically when you reconnect. Live overlays need internet to update.

Can I correct a mistake?

Yes. Undo the last ball and the score, strike and player figures go back to exactly how they were before it.

Can I change the number of balls per over or overs per innings?

Yes. Overs per innings, balls per over and wickets per innings are set for each tournament and match, so short and non-standard formats work.

How many people can score at the same time?

One scorer on the free Starter plan, and up to three on the Day Pass and the Monthly, Quarterly and Yearly plans.

Which devices can I score on?

Any smartphone, tablet, laptop or desktop with a modern web browser. The scoring screen is designed for phones.
