SportsHeroes runs in the browser on your phone, so you can score from the boundary without installing anything. This guide takes you from an empty dashboard to the first ball of your first match.
1. Create the tournament
Sign in and click "New Tournament". Enter the tournament name, the format (league or knockout), the number of teams and the overs per innings. Overs, balls per over and wickets per innings are set per tournament or match, so short formats such as 6-ball box cricket or 5-over games work the same way as a 20-over match.
2. Add teams and players
Add each team and its players. Player names you enter here are the names that appear on the live overlays, so check the spelling before the match starts.
3. Start the match
Create the match between two teams, record the toss and who chose to bat, then pick the two opening batters and the opening bowler.
4. Score every ball
- Runs off the bat: tap the number of runs. Strike changes automatically on odd runs and at the end of each over.
- Extras: wide, no-ball, bye and leg-bye are recorded separately, so the batter and bowler figures stay correct.
- Wickets: choose how the batter got out. Run outs and Mankad dismissals are not credited to the bowler, exactly as in the laws of cricket.
- Mistakes: undo the last ball and the score, strike and figures go back to how they were.
5. Keep scoring when the internet drops
Grounds often have weak mobile signal. Scoring keeps working offline: every ball is saved on your phone and synced in order as soon as the connection returns, so nothing is lost. Live overlays need the internet to update and catch up once the balls sync.
6. Put the score on your stream
Every ball you score updates the live overlays for OBS or vMix, and from the scoring screen you can also switch which graphic is on air, such as the toss, the current partnership or the runs needed.
