At SportsHeroes, we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use our platform.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly: your name, email address, phone number, and organisation name when you create an account or join our waitlist. We also collect usage data including match scoring data, tournament details, overlay configurations, and browser/device information. We use cookies and similar technologies to maintain sessions and improve the experience.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your personal information to: provide, maintain, and improve the Platform; process transactions and send related information; send technical notices, updates, and support messages; respond to your comments and questions; monitor and analyse usage trends; and personalise your experience. Match data and statistics may be displayed publicly as part of live scoring and overlays.
3. Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with: service providers who assist in operating the Platform (hosting, analytics, payment processing); law enforcement when required by applicable law; other parties in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (with notice to you). Aggregated, anonymised data may be shared publicly or with partners.
4. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored on secure servers provided by Supabase and Vercel, with data centres in regions that comply with applicable data protection regulations. We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, access controls, and regular security audits. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
5. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Match data and statistics are retained indefinitely for historical records unless you request deletion. Account data is deleted within 30 days of account closure, except where retention is required by law.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to: access and receive a copy of your personal data; correct inaccurate personal data; request deletion of your personal data; object to processing of your personal data; withdraw consent at any time; lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@sportsheroes.in. To delete your account and all associated personal data, email privacy@sportsheroes.in from your registered email address; we will delete your account and its associated data within 30 days, except data we are required to retain by law. Account deletion removes your data — it does not merely disable access.
7. Cookies
We use essential cookies for authentication and session management, and analytical cookies to understand how users interact with the Platform. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may affect the functionality of the Platform. Analytics cookies apply to our website only; the SportsHeroes mobile app contains no advertising or third-party analytics SDKs.
8. Third-Party Services
The Platform integrates with third-party services including Supabase (database), Vercel (hosting), Razorpay (payments), and Google Analytics (website analytics). Google Analytics and payment processing apply to our website only — the SportsHeroes mobile app includes no analytics or advertising SDKs. These services have their own privacy policies, and we recommend reviewing them. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party services.
9. Children's Privacy
The Platform is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through a notice on the Platform. Your continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
